We’ve received a lot of great feedback about LOIS, the Life Outcomes Improvement System! Thank you to everyone for taking the time to learn about the project and sharing your ideas about how the new, online system can best work for you.
Once completed, LOIS will make it easier for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, and service providers to manage services, communicate with regional centers, and access important information, all in one place. It will replace outdated systems with a modern system designed around your needs.
What we have heard so far
Since our kickoff webinar on July 30, we’ve hosted a series of in-person town halls across the State to hear directly from you. We’ve held meetings with individuals and families in Sacramento, Berkeley, Fresno, Pomona, and San Diego, and received many thoughts on our web form and via email. So far, we’ve heard LOIS needs to be flexible, mobile and user-friendly, and connected to real-life needs such as housing, employment, and emergency planning. You’ve also asked for easier ways to update and track things such as your Individual Program Plans (IPPs), service requests, and to share documents before meetings.
Please continue to share your needs and ideas with us! We are reading all the comments received, and they will inform how LOIS is designed.

All community input from the virtual meetings, calls, emails and in-person town halls will be considered. You do not need to submit your input more than once or participate in multiple meetings.
